Ministries Parent's Night Out
What is Parent’s Night Out?
Women's Ministry
The women of Bethel have 2 monthly circle groups, a time of Bible study, prayer and fellowship. The women's quilting group meets monthly to make quilts for both local and global mission needs. Various other special activities for fellowship and service are planned throughout the year. Click here to see the Women of Bethel schedule of events.
Prayer Chain
James 5:13-16 says: "A re any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up; and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed." Bethel's prayer chain lifts up to the Lord the prayer concerns of its members, friends and neighbors in our community. Prayer requests are passed to one another by either phone or email and the members of Bethel pray for one another in their time of need. Please contact the church office if you or someone you know is in need of prayer.
The Stephen Ministry Logo
The Stephen Ministry logo is intended to convey what Stephen Ministry is all about. The logo consists of a cross and circle together with a broken person and a whole person. The logo's most dominant feature is the cross of Jesus. It reminds us that Christ is at the center of Stephen Ministry and all Stephen Ministry relationships. The broken person behind the cross symbolizes the brokenness in our lives, a person in need of healing, a person in need of Christ's love and care. The whole person, a person who has received the love and care of Jesus, stands in front of the cross because it is only through the cross of Jesus that we are made whole. The circle symbolizes both the wholeness we receive through Christ and God's unending love for us. God's love surrounds us, holds us, heals us, with the cross of Jesus at the center of that love. The logo is designed to show that the path from brokenness to greater wholeness is through Jesus Christ and the ministry of Christ's people, including the ministry of Stephen Ministers. ChristCare Small Group Ministry
Christ is central to ChristCare Groups. Group Members meet Jesus himself in their fellow group members, in the Scriptures, in prayer and worship, and through their service. With Jesus at the center of all that the group is and does, group members grow as Jesus’ disciples, increasing in faith, joy and love. ChristCare Groups are circles of care. ChristCare Group members care for one another with the love of Christ. As a ChristCare Group member, you never have to go through a tough time alone, be it a major crisis or just the bumps and bruises of daily life. Your fellow group members are always there for you. When ChristCare Groups meet, they do four kinds of activities: · Community building and care; · Biblical Equipping; · Prayer and worship; and · Missional service. The Holy Spirit works through these activities to make ChristCare Groups into “Circles of Care with Christ at the Center.” Click here to see the current groups available and their schedules along with their group bible study topic. Please contact a member of the ChristCare Equipper team for more information. Pastor Carl Nielsen 805/922-6601 LaVonne McGee 805/922-2047 |
